Recommendations
We are always available for any local information, tips and suggestions you may desire. We LOVE our home Sligo and may have insider ideas for what might float your boat while you are staying with us. From tips on what’s on and what experiences not to miss, we are your fixers while you are our guests. Don’t hesitate to ask!
Walks: We absolutely suggest the very easy Raughley Loop walk withing a stone’s throw of the Castle; featuring rugged cliffs, blow holes, picturesque Raughley Harbour and views over four counties.
We also recommend Benbulben Forest Walk, Mullaghmore Loop Walk, Streedagh Beach to view the Butterboat Wreck if you’re lucky; and Strandhill Walk to Queen Maeve’s Cairn, where our Celtic Warrior Queen is buried standing up eternally facing her enemies to the North.
Some other Sligo experiences to add to your itinerary:
Voya Seaweed Baths
Island View Riding Stables
Strandhill and Rosses Point Golf Courses
Rosses Point Sauna and Wild Swimming
Drives: We always take the scenic route. Gleniff Horseshoe via the Magic Road to Luke’s Bridge is unmissable for sheer epicness.
